I still get amazed at how much I used to eat. This weekend, while on holidays, we (3 people) picked up a pizza combo. It was a med, 3 topping pizza, 15 wings and some curly fries. We divided up the wings (5 each) and ate all we wanted. There was still 1/3 of the pizza left. 6 months ago, I would have had a large all dressed pizza and a lot more than 5 wings by myself. I don't understand why I would have ever wanted that much food at one time. This learning to eat properly has also changed my pocketbook quite a bit. We rarely buy take-out (have tried a few times, but dont really appreciate it that much) and our grocery bill is a lot smaller. That's a good thing because now I have to buy new clothes-which pi$$es me off because I will only be able to wear them for a few months and they will be too big. I can live with that problem. Time to go cut the grass.

Back from my mini holiday. I am quite happy with my hotel exercise plan. I would go up the stairs one floor, walk across the hotel to the other side (about a block), then go up the stairs another flight and on and on. The first day I made it to the 20th floor and then struggled with getting back down (took the stairs) and back into my room. I was most impressed that my cardio is not bad, it was my back and legs that are the weak spot. After about an hour rest, I did another 6 flights. The next day my back was sore so could only do about 6 flights. On the last day there, we took my daughter to the airport and we parked in the lot and had to walk into the terminal. I easily kept pace with the other people and when we made it to the checkin I was not even breathing heavy. We stood in line for a while and this was also no problem. I am getting healthy (or at least healthier). Life is good. Had a great car ride home (8 hours) and am back at work today. I will be starting daily walks tomorrow.

Down only a little bit, but not complaining. I haven't been doing as much exercise as usual and I guess it shows. We are going on a mini-holiday until monday so may or may not have access to the web. I am going to try making this into an exercise holiday for myself. We are staying in a multi-story hotel so want to spend some time in the stairwells. Me knees don't like going down stairs, so will probably walk up and elevator down. That and lots of walking the halls will keep me busy. Gotta try and bust through the 100 pound mark (17.5 to go). I would like to do it in the next 16 days but that is pretty aggressive. We will see.

Down another one and a half so that's not too bad. I also just started some meds that will cause some temp swelling so am also retaining some water. The good news with the meds is that it will allow me to be able to get back to exercising. I will know in another day or so that it is working. I will also be able to eat fish again and I love tuna, salmon, halibut, shrimp, etc...Hell I love everything that comes from the water. Have a great weekend everyone.
