Went to the Atlanta Aquarium today. What fun. I adore the commercialism of today's tourist attractions. NOT! Anyway the important thing is my daughter had a good time and I did not kill her when she turned into a 13 year old teenager later in the day and screamed I Hate you because I wanted her to play her violin for me and took away her books and net book to motivate her to do so. Ah teen age years. How did we ever survive with out our parent's doing us in...lol. Funny the thing we got down to by talking was that she was tired and hungry. We did a roll playing scenerio that she was the parent and I was the child, what would she do to punish me if I screamed I hate you to her. Finally she rationalized she would ground me more. Then she figured out how hard it is to be a parent, ate, took a nap, and said she would play her violin for me when she gets up. WOW how did I ever figure out to psycho anylize my kid? Maybe those mandatory psychology classes in college are starting to work. Anyhoo, It is quiet, I am having a home made margarita, and I am letting her take a nap. Some days you just want to throw in the towel to parenthood, and others you shake your head and can't stop laughing. Of course when your kids can't see you.

I went and did a light work out at the hotel. I was proud I made myself go. My reward was some shopping time. I have few clothes that fit me since I lost weight. OMG I am into size 8 pants and 8/10 medium shirts. I haven't been an 8 in years. I bought new pants, shirts, and capri pants. Did I mention size 8. Yippee. Now I just have to be good for the next week while I am with my daughter and stay active. The week and my vacation has just begun. Come on, will power.

Made it in to TX last night for my daughter's Spring break. 13 hours drive from Ga to TX. I was tired when I got to the hotel, but ate and went to help kiddo with homework. Have loads of errands to do today in town, then will pick her up tonight after school. Yippee another 13 hour drive back Sat and return the week after. Gas prices are of course atrocious and I am thanking God I traded my Sequoia for a Sienna for better gas mileage last year. So far I am still eating my NS meals suplimented with fruit and yogurt from the hotel breakfast bar.
