I'm calling it a win! Today is my 55th birthday and I weigh less than I did on my 30th birthday (or any time since...). My mini goal was to weigh 180 today as that would make 55 lbs on my 55th birthday. I weighed in this morning at 180.4. Also, I just got home from the doctor and I have been officially declared no longer T2 diabetic.

Tomorrow is my birthday... and my goal date to be at 180. Yesterday, I was at 180.8. This morning I woke up at 182.0 So so sad... but I keep reminding myself that it's only a number. So then I go to get dressed and grab a pair of jeans to wear.
As I'm (easily) buttoning my jeans, I remember...oh yeah, these are the ones that don't fi---, oh wait! they do! With zero scrunching! So there's that...
In the end, it's the NSV's that really matter. Scale fail is only temporary. Nobody who sees me in these nice jeans will know that my scale tried to derail me this morning. :-)

Okay, sorry no pic (cuz I ate it too fast), but I had a very strong *need* for bowl of cereal tonight. But of course, that's just not gonna happen :-(. Then I remembered reading something. I put a 1/2 cup cashew milk, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp sweetener, and a 1/2 tsp maple extract into my ninja for just a sec, then poured it over a serving of plain pork rinds, broken into "cereal" size bites. Oh. My. Word. My crunch/sweet craving was instantly satisfied and my belly feels full. 99 calories, 6g fat, 8g protein, and 0.6g carbs.

For the first time in years, I rode my motorcycle to work today! Hey, guess what... my HEAD has lost weight. I was mildly surprised as I pulled onto the interstate to feel my helmet slide back a little as I picked up speed. By the time I was doing highway speeds, I could feel the tug of the helmet straps. I'll have to do some readjusting before I head back home at the end of the day.
On another note, my leather no longer fits. I have ONE quality leather jacket for motorcycle riding. It cost well over $300 AND I've got a huge "Lady Rider" patch on the back, plus other association patches on it so I really love my leather, but it is a 3x and I no longer am. I need something closer to an XL or smaller :-(. It's a good thing, but it's not... I can't afford to replace my leather (yet) but then again, the riding season is short up here (Maine) and will be over in another month to six weeks. By next riding season, I expect to be at least another 20# down, maybe more, so I guess I'll wait till tax return time to look at a new one.
