I was excited to see 133 on the scale this morning! I don't get wrapped up in weighing myself, b/c it fluctuates so often and there are things more important than a number. But this is my first weigh-in since I really started, so I'm pretty happy! Plus, I just had an awesome dinner out the night before so I thought the number would be a little higher.
I want to focus on strength training and developing muscle. So if the scale doesn't go down as quickly, I'm not going to be bummed. I have another personal training session Thurs. at 5:15am :0...so I'm ready to change up my routine!

Aaahhh! I'm really struggling today craving every food in the house! I honestly think I"m hungrier b/c I know I'm going out to a nice restaurant tonight and in trying to "save" calories, I want them even more! I just ate 2/3 of a gala apple and licked the almost empty PB jar clean. It was probably just a little over a TBSP. but I don't like feeling so ravenous. That's when those thoughts kick in that none of this is worth it, and I should just throw in the towel.
NO! I won't! I work hard at the gym, and I eat healthy, but I wont' go from extreme to extreme! It's not fun either way. This is where the rubber meets the road. Instead of raiding the cabinets now, I'm going to wait. Instead of meticulously counting every calorie in my head at dinner tonight, I'm going to enjoy the meal. If I go a little above, it's ok! I'll eat light tomorrow. Plus how will I know how many calories monk fish or panacotta has? :)

So sick of winter weather! It was 60 degrees on Friday, which definitely gave me that spring fever itch, and now outside is a fresh 9" layer of snow! It's so hard keeping a consistent gym schedule when the weather doesn't want to cooperate.
I'm going out to eat tonight with some girls that I used to work with at schmancy restaurant. It's a Monday night so my first thought is "Oh no, how can I make this fit into my plan?" But I need to think realistically and understand that going out to dinner is an inevitable, FUN part of life. I can make some healthy choices, enjoy myself, and not obsess.
I'm learning that life is much more than the calories in and calories out. I know that I enjoy feeling good, but I also want to keep a positive perspective. Las Vegas will come and go, but I want to live an all out healthy lifestyle!

We had such a fun time in NYC! My feet may just fall off, mostly my fault for not wearing the best shoes for walking, but it was such a blast! The steakhouse we went to on Valentine's Day was great, and I actually got a filet, usually I order seafood. It was great though, esp with the mashed potatoes!
We got to see Live with Regis and Kelly Tues. morning and then met up with some friends at a diner. I was really proud of myself, as I usually order something greasy, but I got a chicken breast with lettuce, tomato on a pita. Of course, just spending a good chunk of change at Lululemon probably helped! I was in a healthy state of mind haha :).
The Spiderman show on Broadway was awesome. We had front row seats, so the actors were literally spitting on us, it was so good though!
Yesterday was my big splurge when we went to Crumbs Bakeshop on 43rd st. I wanted to try it out, and it did not disappoint. Every calorie of the red velvet cupcake was totally worth it. Plus my boyfriend convinced me to share a choc. dipped PB chip cookie, which we had last night, awesome!
I'm so proud of myself for sticking to healthy habits, and not treating it as a free for all. I enjoyed soup and salad for dinner Tues. night, and room service yesterday was steel cut oats w/ fresh fruit. I feel pretty happy about that!
My body definitely feels run down though, so I'm going to the gym later today. Can't believe our trip is over!
