First day back to eating healthy and it really wasnt bad. Actually it really didnt feel any different than any other normal day. Well, normal day before I started slacking so badly. It just felt more like Ive come home from vacation and Im getting back to normal. I even went for a short run after work. Well the run was more of a jog and it was only 3 miles. Its been way too long so I dont see myself doing 20 miles any time soon but it still felt good to get out and moving. Having the puppy with me helped. He isnt exactly ready for 20 miles yet so he gave me a good excuse for taking it slow rather than beating myself up over how far I let myself slide. Now the hard part will be getting myself to do this consistently. Oh well - one day at a time :-)

I cant believe Im getting ready to start back on this diet. Honestly Im not sure how I went off it in the first place. I followed this diet a while back when I only needed to lose about 5 lbs. Needless to say it worked GREAT - I lost the weight in a few days and loved the recipes so much I stayed with it.
For the most part I have always been a pretty healthy eater so it really wasnt a big deal. Then I finished my Masters degree, went to my 20 yr. reunion, quit smoking and apparently celebrated my success in those areas a little too much with major amounts of junk food because now I have about 20 - 25 lbs to lose!
Twenty-five lbs may not seem like much to lose but for me its a personal nightmare. I weigh more than I ever have in my life and I put all of the extra weight on in less than 4 months. Im really feeling out of sorts now and I just have no energy or inclination to do anything about it. I knew I was gaining weight but just ignored it and now Im really in a mess. Hopefully my habits arent so bad that I cant get back to the good ones I used to live by.
I just hope I can not only get motivated - but stay motivated!
