Yesterday was bad...
It started off good, I ate good, lots of water. Then my husband decided to take us to Dairy Queen - I had a blizzard, a small. Still, that was bad...
I did all my yard work and a little house work and still drank all my water. I also ran around the park during my daughters softball practice, which from mapmyrun says is about 1.43 miles. I did it in 14 minutes.
Then on the way home we stopped at In-N-Out and I had french fries. No burger or drink, just the fries, which I inhaled.
Now that I'm writing it all out I'm realizing that it wasn't so bad, I guess that's what a journal helps us do, realize that it's not as bad as we might think it really is..
For the most part I ate good, and I drank all my water, I did my usual yard work and even raked a few extra places. I ran. So all in all I guess I did good.
I feel better now :)

I tried a new running course today, and while I did ok, I can see that it's not going to be as good as I thought.
I prefer to run on the dirt roads or trails, but as dirt roads and trails go, they are uneven, so footing becomes an issue. The last thing I want to do it twist and ankle or fall.
Running on the pavement just doesn't suit me. As I ran part of my new route on the paved road, I felt more "jarred" with each step. Also, my road is extremely narrow with just and inch or so on the out side of the "white line" - and for some reason no one cares that it is in fact a residential area, even if it is in the middle of nowhere, so no one pays attention to the 25 mph signs. There are enough blind spots that if a large speeding truck were to come up, well, let's just say that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't win that battle.
I'm also not sure of the distance. I'm using the new pedometer that my son gave me for Christmas. I am able to program in my step distance for walking, running or jogging, but because of the uneven surface, I doubt any measurement would have been very accurate.
In the end, I had run for about 30 minutes, not solid - I did slow down to a fast walk, or slower jog in some spots. The device told me I had run .96 of a mile. The change was good, I had to pay attention to my surroundings and footing. I believe I will try this a couple of times before searching out a new route.
I can definitely tell that all of this running is firming up my legs and butt! Yeah!

Yeah! It must have been water weight or something, but I'm back to my pre-christmas weight.
Now it's on to my GOAL WEIGHT!
I walked 1.5 miles today at the college while my daughter was at her last day of camp. Tomorrow I am planning a run along a new course I've been checking out. Since I've been doing about a mile, I think I'm going to crank it up a bit and go for the 3 mile course. Run Jog or Walk, at least I'll be getting used to the distance.
