It's been an ugly week!
But, I'm inspired and re-motivated to start again. Today I thought I was going to flake out on my workout, but I persisted and got it done. I feel much better that I got it done.
I really have to watch what I eat!

Another entire weekend spent at the park watching my daughter play softball. Good for her, hard on my diet.
I pack good snacks, and even a nice lunch, but inevitibly end up at the snack booth getting food I really don't need to be eating, but it's hot, or cold depending on what I think I need at the moment.
So here I am, back at it on a Monday morning. I guess that's better than the alternative: giving up altogether.
It's true - the only time we fail is when we quit trying!

The scale continues to be stuck. But I do feel thinner, my clothes are fitting better - I am so close to actually wearing in public the next size down in my closet. The jeans I'm in now are fitting LOOSE! YEAH!
I'm getting stronger on my runs. I really like the course I'm running; I start out from my house and run along the road which is relatively flat, other than the little ups and downs that are along any country road. Then I cross the street and head up the hill into the preserve that is wide open space. The trail I follow is good, most of it is a wash with sand, but has hard sides so the footing is good. I'm able to make it to "the fence", which is a pretty good distance, running most of the way - I'd say I run at least 2/3rds of this, taking only short walking breaks. I stop at the top to catch my breath, enjoy the view and stretch a little before heading back down - and I'm able to run at least 3/4th of the distance back down the hill. When I get to the road, I stop running and use the rest of the way back as my cool down time.
I'll post a picture of where I run in my profile, since I can't figure out how to put it here....
