21 days. It took 21 days to get back to the weight I was at last time I weighed in. It went up as far as 3 pounds higher, but never went down! Grr! And that's with cardio and strength training, eating right almost every day... its like my body just went on strike! However, I'm going to think positive... it's back down now, so hopefully its started some kind of intertia where it will keep moving.

Of course, besides what the scale says... I have a really awesome little bicep now, and i'm getting more or less a rounder shape (not round like an apple...round like a cylinder...) as opposed to the mis-shapen blob look I had in December. So I'm going to go with it.

All those lunges and squats and chair position etc etc, I bet my butts getting nice... I'm gonna go spin in circles and try to see it! =)

Woohoo! My OnDemand DOES have ExerciseTV. This opens up a whole new world of workouts! Tried the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred (level 1 is on there) today... like her little stab at Bob (you'd have to own some of his biggest loser dvd's to get it..) "If you're looking for the modified version of a jumping jack... you aren't going to find it here!" (All of the biggest loser ones have different variations of modified jumping jacks =). )

Also did my weight loss yoga again. Can't BELIEVE how hard it is. May be a little easier if I didn't sweat so much that my yoga mat turns into a slip and slide. hehe.

tomorrow i'll try some new cardio video..since on "strength" days i really just do the bike. (yup, call it lazy... but then again, except for yoga, all my strength dvd's are full body circuits with mixed in cardio...)

feeling really reinvigorated.

and no, the scale still hasn't moved... despite constant burning more eating less. but at least i FEEL good again!

Bought the Mayo Clinic Diet books... although I am still anti-diet (and FULLY intend on staying that way!)... because I thought they'd have a lot of good information in them. Not so sure at this point, although all the "reasons" behind their program are in chapter 3, and I haven't gotten to read that part yet. Mostly, I just liked the layout of their journal, and I'm the type who gets both if they get one. =). (Plus, I got an extra discount... yes, impulsive spending day at the zoo..err..mall!) While I tend to stay away from "diet program" books and lean towards ones that are more "nutritional information" friendly, something like the Mayo Clinic that's just putting out a health-focused book because so many people asked about it... well, I'm enjoying it so far.

Still sore from yesterdays yoga. And very very tired today for some reason. (Perhaps it was the sun we enjoy on our trips to the mall.. much time spent walking around outside while waiting for buses!) Summer is finally dialing it down a little, and me and the baby man are ready to resume our treks out of the nice little air conditioned habitat we've built.

Huh, my air conditioner is off... just noticed that. =).

So glad, this week was finally "add strength training" back in week. And while I'm still not below my last weigh in (2 weeks ago i had a one day gain, and i'm still not back! wah! =).) - i have steadily lost .3 or .4 pounds a day all week. I am a firm believer in strength training, a FIRM believer, but i have a reoccuring back problem and was told to rest it for a while. grumble.

today, I also added in "weight loss yoga" (the biggest loser one... really, i am just a fan of bob harper; now that he has his line of videos out, i'm gonna buy them for 1/2 price at his website and work my way out of biggest loser land!) today... and i really don't care what ANYONE says, yoga is NOT easy. (Not that I ever thought it was, we did yoga fairly regularly in my house as children.) Weight loss yoga is even worse. You think warrior pose is easy, until you've been holding your arms up straight for 15 seconds... then you really get to see how much of a wuss you are. =). And calling it "plank position" does not make it anything except a pushup...and a hard one!!

Still, feeling reinvigorated. Think I'll add a once a week "yoga class" to my at-home-but-i-wish-i-was-at-the-gym "class" schedule. (You know, I do kickboxing, step aerobics, yoga, spin etc etc... all at home. Wheeeee.)
