second week of shopping exclusively at the farmer's market. its fun. only downside is i've yet to find a single shop in there that sells any version of yogurt, and i'm running low, so it looks like i'll have to go to a "grocery store" this week after all. (And, with the allentown fair coming... after next weekend they're closed for 2 weeks..BIG bummer.)
bob harper workout dvd's came today. Excited to start. Not sure how I'm going to reschedule my workouts... yoga is twice as long as i'm used to, the strength training options are 2 to 3 times longer..and the cardio... well, that's about the same. =). So I'm gonna hafta break things up a little bit. But I've very much been looking forward to changing my routie. A few months of the same workouts and you get bored.

At that rate it will take you about 16 months to get to your goal weight.
You know, some times I weigh in and it tells me it'll take 2 or 3 years. Sometimes, I weigh in and it tells me it'll take 4 more months. The fact is, this is a forever kind of thing. My "goal" weight was an arbitrarily picked number based on the recommended weight for my height, having nothing at all to do with my build - because graphs are arbitrary in this world. But I remember all of the times I started "diets", only to forget..or to get off track and quit... or to get bored... or whatever happened. And I think, if when I was 16 and had full access to my schools gym - we had personal health as a gym class option, and i'm not coordinated so I chose that instead of "team sports"...- that would have been 12 years ago... I'd have been done! So 16 more months, or 4 more years, or 10 more years... whatever it takes... doesn't really seem like much to me at this point. I've got the rest of my life to live in this body. So I've got the rest of my life to improve it. =)
Just rambling thoughts.
Yoga is REALLY changing things appearance-wise. I'm now 1.1 pounds away from posting my "50 pounds lost" picture (it's been a long time in the making)... and I'm excited!

Bodybugg...issue.
I have now owned the bodybugg for less than 3 weeks. The velcro circle on the strap is already unpeeling. I guess I can superglue it back on. Bigger issue, the plastic casing that the actually body bugg snaps into is cracked.
Less than 3 weeks!
I'm sure I can contact them tomorrow and find out about getting a replacement, but that's just kinda... annoying.

Gotta say it. Ordered "In Defense of Food" online using my Barnes & Nobles membership card because it's always sold out in the store. not only did I get free shipping, 20% online discount, and another 10% coupon for a code I found online... making the entire price 9 dollars.... but i hit "order" at 4:30 yesterday. before midnight, i received a "your order is ready to ship" email, and before I woke up (at 7) this morning, I received a "your order has been shipped" email. that's friggin FAST.
ups usually gets here around 4 pm, give or take..so if it made it on the truck today, i should be able to start reading it tonight! if not, tomorrow! either way, thats FAST. quick quick. =).
bob harper dvds taht supposedly shipped 4 days ago..still haven't been scanned in the mailstream. so no new workout today it appears like. they're coming from New York... i coulda driven there, had a 3 day weekend, and been back by now! =)

Bodybugg... 2 weeks later.
I finally got to check what I wanted to check, to give me an idea of accuracy. As the bodybugg only allows you to "offically" weigh in once a week, but you can change your weight daily - which restarts the measurement period, which i did NOT know for the first week - i finally got to record my first weigh in, and then compare my food log/calorie burn deficit to my weight loss. (One of the cool things about the bodybugg website - and there are very few - is that it WILL show you a comparison, based on your weight loss..of what you said you ate verses the amount of calorie deficit SHOULD have resulted in that weight loss..). This was the best way I could figure of checking accuracy, as I use a food scale down to the gram, and a measuring cup that goes down to a fraction of an ounce, for EVERYTHING i eat. And, amazingly, my "deficit" amounts between my manual logging and their estimations were within 100 calories of each other for the entire week.
So, despite my constant battle with its inadequacies (and to be honest, if i didn't use fatsecret as a food journal i wouldn't realize how frigging annoying their lack of food/nutrients/options really is) - the damned thing is ACCURATE as hell.
Plus, the scale has finally started moving downward again! Yay!
