For the very first time all summer, we are experiencing a full day of rain! I'm skipping and dancing for joy! Our poor grass and landscaping turned brown over a month ago, and this drought has been wicked.
I am a strong woman, who finally has a handle on this weight loss stuff. :) I'm proud of my success so far, and I just keep dropping the weight. This upcoming weekend is full of parties, but I know I'll keep control. Having a plan before I leave the house: I will eat before I leave, and then if I eat at any of the functions, I will stick to meats, veggies, and fruits. Easy as pie (errr...easy as NO pie). LMAO

Updated my diet. I still firmly believe in Atkins, but have switched for medical reasons regarding some stuff I'm going through. This is my final time switching. I know I've seemed indecisive since starting FatSecret back in July, but this is final. I'm still doing great, and since I've lost 14 pounds since I started everything, then the adjustments to the new program will be smooth, as I'm already motivated. I'm NOT doing WW Points...I'm following the Simply Filling Plan (used to be CORE plan). I was successful in the past, and I'll be successful again on the same plan. =)

Feeling great this morning! Had a high carb day yesterday, still able to record a loss for the week, and back on track today. Next week, I plan to measure myself again, and I think I'll see some good results. Pants are fitting better, underwear isn't digging into the legs, and I'm not spilling out of my bras. I think those are all things to be celebrated, even though I'm not down a size yet. :)

Today is a high carb day. There are a couple good reason why I do this once or twice per week, and so far it works really, really well for me. =) Curious to see the scale in a couple days again.

Having a hard time choking down salads every single day. I'm finding that I absolutely hate salads made at home. They taste horrible. No matter how much I copy my favorite salads from my favorite restaurants, I can not figure out why I hate salads at home. This is making my required Induction rule of "2-3 cups of salad per day" very difficult. I don't have the money to eat restaurant salads everyday, but that's what I want to do. I don't like bottled dressings from the store. I have yet to find one that I love with low enough carbs. Olive oil and vinegar is better than nothing so I resort to that option most of the time. So....this is my homemade salad pity party rant, and I'm off to cut up some fresh cucumber so I don't have to eat another salad tomorrow. Can any Atkins followers tell me how to combat this hatred of salad? I love raw veggies, and many cooked veggies, but the Atkins book clearly states 2-3 cups of salad, plus base veggies each and every day.
