Went to the Fair last night after work. I did excellent and didn't have any of the delicious smelling foods. Lots of cute animal pictures too :-)

Day started out good with me getting in a 13.1 mile run in and shedding 6 minutes off my previous time. I did this mainly cause I was going to a BBQ and knew I would be eating pretty bad stuff and wanted to not worry about it. Made a good decision when I went to Stewarts and stopped myself from getting a milkshake. Onto the party...ate a bunch of carb filled things and they were delicious but realized as it all hit my system that I was starting to feel very down on myself, lonely and emotional. I haven't felt this way in a long long time and i'm pretty sure it has to do with the crap I was eating. Just goes to show how not eating well can make you feel like garbage. Back to normal tomorrow cause I don't like feeling like this.

Alright ladies...I need your input. There is this girl at work that I would love to just go up and talk to but definitely don't have any idea how to get to that first step. We don't work in the same department and I very rarely run across her path. We have some friends in common but no one serious enough to help me out there. Plus I feel like if I take the first step it looks more confident...which I totally am not. :-)
I see her at lunch and we've definitely made eye contact but she eats lunch with her ex. Who I've been reassured multiple times that they are not together but it still makes it hard to go up to her.
I know going the Facebook route isn't the right option in most cases so I don't want to do that.
I'm really assuming I just need to grow a pair and go up and talk to her but still need to have an in or something to talk about. Any ideas?
