I have reset my weight goal. The good news is that it is now a lower weight. I have nearly reached my original goal which seemed so far off when I first started this journey. The first weight goal was solidly in the overweight BMI range. The new one is at the top end of normal range.
It is kind of discouraging to see colors of the weight bars change. I think I am entering a new area of difficulty. The first was getting started. Next, was learning how to eat healthy and realizing how much I have to change. Now, I am at a point where I fell pretty good, the blood work is pretty good, etc. It would be so easy to just try to stay at this point. This new goal looks nearly as hard to get to as the original one. When I first started I estimated it would take me 6-12 months to reach it. I was pretty optimistic as it has been a year, and I am not quite to it yet. And from here I think I have another 6 months.
I also have people who are surprised when they ask and I tell them I still have more to go. They may think that I would be skinny at that point, but I won't. I'll just barely be normal (which may look skinny with so many of us in the population being overweight)
