5/12 Fasting Blood Sugar 5.5 mmol/L

Sorry for disappearing but I - my mind needed a break. Yeah, I started to spiral and had to back away from everything. I sort of sensed it coming but yet I didn't. My crutch is drop everything until I can deal with things on a more even keel.

On a better note, I have my new reading glasses. They are perfect for say reading a book that is under 12 inches away from my eyes, but when I try to read my computer screen which is about 32 inches away from my eyes I run into difficulty and have to switch over to my cheap glasses. When I picked up my glasses I did order prescription distance sunglasses to be picked up in about 2 weeks. Holy Moley on the cost...$450 CAD. But when I get them I will definitely try them out when reading my computer screen just to see if it changes anything.

Weight is doing a hard core fluctuation. I went as high as 246 lbs since last weigh in but as soon as I put my damn compression socks on, all of a sudden the weight was peeling off again. So yeah. Water weight from swelling. On top of the chronic bowel issues. One day my body will behave...I hope.

Haven't dived back into the concoction my specialist wants me to drink every AM for my intestinal/bowel issues. I'm actually scared to because of the extreme pain I experienced from the first time. I can handle a lot of pain without pain meds because that is what I've had to do all these years. But that pain was like being in labour, just in the wrong area. I need my mental state in a better place to try that concoction again and I'm not quite there yet.

AND...hopefully this weekend, my son and I will be going across the street to the garden center portion of the grocery store to get me some black earth and some manure as well as some vegetables to grow on my balcony. Praying to the Gods that they have the Krim tomato plants cause Krims are so much better than Beefsteak, IMHO. Need some more herbs like Summer Savoury, Chives, etc. By the end of the growing season my louver doors in my kitchen are covered in drying herbs ;) But balcony gardening is what I look forward to every year and last year it started extremely late because of the balcony upgrades they did.
