As planned, we went to a friend's on Saturday for beach/pool/lunch day. We were there for almost 7 hour and we had an excellent time. On the menu: gazpacho, garlic potatos, almonds & parm, stuffed olives, empanada (it was the size of a large pizza), and paella. For dessert, we had limon mousse and watermelon. Super delicious! I didn't overeat. But I certainly had a lot more carbs than normal. I also had about 2 glasses of wine, maybe an oz of some Spanish liquor, and a vodka tonic.
Saturday, was my day to work out. But, I was so wiped after our day with our friends. No big deal, I thought. I'll just work out Sunday and Monday to be caught up. Well I didn't work out Sunay either. Boo. I will need to work out 3 days in a row to catch up. That's ok. I can do! I did a 30 min interval/cardio work out on You Tube yesterday (Monday). Today, I will walk the stairs and tomorrow I will do a HIIT Fitness Blender workout on You Tube.
We leave for the states next week. I previously made a goal to be under my prepregnancy weight by our departure date. Well, I've already surpassed it! Yay!. So now I'm going for 164.
I took my measurements today. They appear to be the same. That darn stomache! But, I keep reminding myself that I don't just work-out for weight loss. I exercise for heart health! -for me, my husband, & daughter. -to lower blood pressure and resting heart rate! This is more important than the circumference of my tummy. Secondly, exercise is an important (& chemical free) way of controlling my anxiety. "Rome was't built in a day".... so every day I must "build" my healthly lifestyle
