never thought id say this but I think I need to up my calorie intake. losing too fast and I'm afraid I won't be able to maintain...

So for your weight you would need to consume a around 3100 - 3700 calories a day to maintain your weight depending on your metabolism. You should be eating around 2600 - 3200 calories and exercising in order to lose weight healthy. If you are entering your daily intake accurately you range from 1041 - 1339 calories a day and that is way to low. You will not be able to maintain that for very long without problems. You will definitely lose weight that way...and you will definitely gain it back as soon as you start eating normal. You should consult a professional to come up with a realistic and healthy diet and exercise program if you are serious...or at least do some research to find a healthy diet tailored to your weight and goals. Don't be in a hurry...its not a race or a competition...its your life. Good Luck

I think 1600 to 1800 calories would be a good range for you to start on maybe.

My reasoning is, a few of us don't process calories as quickly as other people do. For example, I'm SUPPOSED to need AT LEAST 1800 calories a day to maintain my weight, but unless I just eat mostly healthy foods I maintain my weight (rather than lose) at even 1200 cal/day.

@SlimChick - Kind of curious as to how you came up with 1600 - 1800 calories a day for her??? You say you maintain at 1200 when you should be at 1800 and that's 600 calories off and depending on your exercise routine and your metabolism that's not too far off the mark...but 1600 - 1800 from 2600 - 3200 is WAY OFF THE MARK!!! That's at least 1000 calories off of what she needs to lose weight not maintain...that's at least 1500 off of what she needs to maintain her current weight!!! Personally I think that is horrible advice. Any way you look at it...she needs to increase her calorie intake and should probably consult a professional for a balanced diet and exercise routine.

Hey, Ya'll I do record my calorie intake very religiously...almost obsessively (so I'm told LOL). I don't take a bite of food until I've recorded what I plan to eat and then when I am satisfied (no more rumbly in my tumbly) I subtract what I didn't eat. I am not however so great at recording my activities. I guess I feel like if I recorded my workouts it would say I could eat more and I do NOT need encouragement to eat MORE! LOL I have a rather serious food addiction. I eat anytime I feel any emotion I don't want to feel. I used to cut when I was a teenager so I guess eating has taken the place of cutting for me. I have to be strict with myself because if I am not, I will jump off the edge and binge. I just hate that feeling of not having control over my own body... I know my calorie intake is a little low but I am trying to break my addiction. This is the only way I know how. Please be patient with me. This truly is the first time in a very long time that I have felt any hope at all. Not just for weight loss and a healthier body, but for some semblance of ownership and control over my own body... Thanks for listening to me!
