man! only eating 1200 calories sucks!! that is like, NO food at all! i cut back more than i would, but maybe i should wean myself into it vs. starting cold turkey. we'll see how this goes!

You can have 2C Romaine, 1/2C Sliced Cucumber, 1/2C Grape Tomatoes for about 32 calories and it's 4 servings of vegetables. As long as you choose a light dressing then you won't add much else to it. Salsa also makes for a great dressing that's low in calories and very satisfying. I think you could do 1200 if you really wanted to, but maybe try 1600-1800 first and see how you do, it give you wiggle room and so if you happen to eat closer to 1200 great, but if your day gets a little messed up and your closer to 1800, you won't beat yourself up too much because it's probably still less than what you were consuming before.

At your current weight, you should be able to eat a lot more than 1200 calories and lose. As you lose weight, you will have to cut calories to keep the loss's going, so it's better to start higher.
