Surpassed all of my fitbit goals today (first time in a couple of days that I hit them at all). Still not up to par energy wise, but I do manage to get my walks in. I'm feeling better than I was a few days ago. I got 8.91 miles in today and burned an estimated 2,800 calories. I still manage my 1,000 calorie deficit (keeping in mind that fitbit also includes your bmr when they calculate calories burned), but am finding that I have less of an appetite. I can see a visible difference in my size now, in addition to my clothes getting loose. Wednesday, my boys start kindergarten. So tomorrow, I'll be taking them to an amusement park. They let you bring food and picnic at this location, so I'll be packing all of our stuff. I'm sure I'll get all of my walking in and they'll have a great last day before school. It's going to suck eating a salad with the smell of funnel cakes in the air. But truth be told, I haven't had one in years. My wee ones aren't patient enough to wait in line if there isn't a ride to get on when they reach the front. :)

Yesterday was another day where I felt so terrible that I was unable to participate in the plan I set out for myself. I did a little more research and learned that I am experiencing what is commonly known at the keto flu. I did to reach all the goals my fitbit set for me, but just walking around isn't going to tone my body. I did, at one point, think that I would be able to pick up the pace and jog around the local track but it wasn't meant to be. You see, I recently purchased a brand new sports bra to help keep the girls from flying out of my top when I participate in any type of cardio that isn't brisk walking. I did not get my moneys worth. I was less than a quarter of the way around the quarter mile track when it fell off my shoulders and thank goodness I was wearing a t-shirt and not a tank top. I had to stop every 10 feet to readjust (even though I know it's the right size - this thing has no business being called a sports bra). The kids at soccer practice probably thought I was a loony (they're not wrong)! Needless to day, I slowed to a walk and will return another day with a better bra. Of all the problems I anticipated when I started, this was not one of them.

I'd like to day that today will be better, but I still feel like crap. I'm glad to know this fake flu only lasts a few days to a week. I'll stick it out and go from there. My hand weights wont accumulate dust if I let them sit for a few more days.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. No exercise outside of my walking. I went over my goal of 1200 calories, but I did make sure that I burned the extra calories that I consumed to keep in time with my 1000 calorie deficit. I didn't sleep well last night and slept through most of the morning, skipped breakfast (because I was asleep) and didn't eat until after 1:00. I was so tired that I fed the kids fast food for dinner so I didn't have to find the energy to cook. I did put my dinner together and stuck with the LCHF regimen. Afterward, I took the boys to the park and walked laps around the playground while they burned off their seemingly endless supply of energy. Overall, I wouldn't say I had a bad day, but an unproductive one.

Now, I am going to watch an episode of Stranger Things before I go to bed and leave you to contemplate why we call flies flies, but we don't call fish swims?

Yesterday, as noted earlier, I skipped my strength and abs exercises. Today, I didn't. Since the t-shirt that I wanted to wear was wrinkled, I decided to throw it in the dryer while I did the work out (I'm home alone). I admit that most of my visible weight is in my stomach area as I have long fancied my beer. Of course when I'm standing or sitting, it spreads out and doesn't look as bad as it actually is. But today when I was shirtless, in the plank position, I caught a glimpse of all of my belly fat hanging in one place. It was a glorious hanging cheese ball of stretch marks. Now, I decided to add exercise into the WOE in hopes of preventing sagging skin as I know that can be a side effect of weight loss. I guess my concern is that I might not be doing enough or perhaps not taking the right steps in order to get rid of this thing. I'd rather know about it now in the early stages then find out that I've been doing the wrong thing or working the wrong area for months? Any advice? Any success stories from others who ditched the pabst can (or whatever kind you drank)?
