Had a good visit with my doctor. I had lost 5 lbs. since my last visit 2 months ago and my blood pressure was actually normal! She said the next thing I need to do is buy smaller clothes and get rid of my baggy wardrobe. Does that mean I can tell my husband my doctor prescribed a new wardrobe?

Even when I'm not always good about following the plan, staying on and checking in on FS keeps me from straying too far, and I get back on track eventually. Seeing everyone else's struggles and triumphs does help me realize how human we all are and how we are in control in this case. Got a doctor's appointment on Monday, so extra incentive this weekend not to stray.

Going in the wrong direction. It's been a tough week, but no excuses. I just need to get back on track and I can do that. First step is to go to the grocery store since I'm off today and get some fresh fruit and healthy snacks. Then to relax and figure out how to handle all the stress and extra work being piled on. I can do this!

Did not do particularly well in sticking to the plan this week. I just let external factors be an excuse to eat poorly. No real pig-outs, just not eating healthy. The death of my husband's youngest brother, extra stress at work, and just being mentally and physically tired all week. I'm ready for a rebound.
I have to work Saturday, but my husband will be back from visiting with his family and things will get back to routine, which helps me stay on plan. I do feel good about resisting doing the fast food thing while he was away. It's so tempting to not think about what I'm going to have for dinner and just pull into the McDonald's closest to home on my way back from work. At least I avoided that, so not too bad on the increase this week and today is a new day.

I was actually below 200 yesterday, then we went out for prime rib dinner last night. I have found that I'm getting full quicker and I'm learning to stop when full. So I have half a slice of prime rib sitting in the refrigerator. This week has been a challenge because we're on stay-cation and the only thing of interest we've done is eat. All in all I've managed to keep that somewhat in control, so I'm happy with a loss this week. Sunday I leave for training in Naples and I expect to keep busy there so I don't think food will be an issue. Plus they usually put the classes a mile from the rooms so I'll get some walking in. Back to work on Wednesday and my more usual routine. I'm expecting to report a below 200 weight next week.
