Merry Christmas all, I have had a truly relaxing holiday, no stressful eating. My dog though is fortunate to be alive, We went out to eat on Christmas eve and didn't worry about him doing any harm since he had been leaving the presents alone under our tree. My daughter though had dropped off gifts for later in the evening and unwittingly had wrapped bags of chocolates up for the grandkids. We came back to a tremedous mess, chocolate, wrappers, ripped up wrapping paper all over the front room. He ate the chcolates, wrapper and all. and ate a whole bag of theM!!! Chocolate is suppose to be very harmful to dogs. He must have a cast iron gut. He mostly was on a sugar high for about 5 hours. He could'nt sleep. ran in circles for about 15 minutes. Now, he is suffering from a major hangover today, sleeping, snoring, lurching for quarters!! He stinks too, but appearts to have not suffered any permanent damage Wow, if that is what a sugar rush does to dogs, no wonder we all act so zooey when we indulge. My little corgie sure taught me a lesson, moderation, moderation, moderation.
