Yeah!!! Stayed on track yesterday!!!! It's about time. I was starting to panic a bit. A couple of things I did different yesterday - 1) drank lots of water 2) went to hot yoga.

Hot yoga provides me with that structure in the evenings that I so desparately need. First off, I can't eat two hours before going to HY because I'll want to puke. And secondly, when I get home from HY, I just want a shower and bed because it's almost 10 p.m. So, I get home from work, make dinner, eat by 6:15, do the house chores, and go to hot yoga. Eating doesn't fit into that scheme after 6:15. Which is awesome good.

I've also started going to Power HY. I really like it. The Hatha (Bikram) is about endurance, but Power Vinyasa is more about strength. I really like doing both because it keeps me from getting bored. Also, I didn't realize how weak my upper body was until I started going to Power - and finally Power works on the core, so we're always doing some kinda ab crunches.

And I'm really glad I had a great run this morning. I decided to run faster but for shorter bursts. So, now I'm doing 6.0 mph for 1/2 mile at a time. Then walking 3.5 mph for 1/4 mile. And I do this for 4 miles. It took me 55 minutes to go 4 miles today. I just don't have long-distance strength in my legs and I'm afraid that I'll injure them if I don't take it easy. By the 26th, I want to be running 3/4 mile. That gives me two weeks. We'll see how I do.
