Reflections on July:

Happy August! Hopefully August will be a better month for me than July was. July wasn't a bad month, I just struggeled more than any other month so far.

What went well in July:
July is the first whole month that I didn't get sick since October. Not once!!! I guess the mono is behind me now and I'm so happy it is. I hit my 3 month anniversary with being sugar/HFCS free and I feel so good for it. I haven't had any episodes of blood sugar lows and highs. And I found the world's greatest GF/CF/NSA icecream: So Delicious Coconut Milk Icecream now has a no sugar added option that is effing delicious. And the best part is that it's not artificial sweeteners either. It's just SO Delicious!!!
I also really stepped up my exercising. I had an epiphany in July and I suddenly realized that I could exercise more than once a day. Don't ask me why this was something that took me 41 years to figure out, but somehow it didn't seem obvious to me before. I've also added another new type of exercise to my repetoire: Hot Yoga. Went for the fist time yesterday and absolutely love it! I've been trying to get up early on weekends to go, but it has been a struggle. I plan on going 3 times/week: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday. <3
And finally, I became consistent in this last week of drinking 1 gallon of water a day. That took a long time to work up to. And oddly enough the thing that did it for me was having a good cup to drink from. I'm a straw person...bottles weren't cutting it for me.

What I struggled with in July:
July was a challenge for me...I REALLY had a hard time staying on plan. I got the 3 month boredoms with this dieting thing -- and I paid the price by only losing 4 pounds in the month of July. And it all happened in one week, which felt great that week, but felt horrible every other week. I had problems with drinking water, not tracking what I ate, and staying on track during the weekends. But I've put some plans into place and I have made myself a challenge to do perfectly for the month of August. No cheating, no whining! WINNING!
