I'm hoping that my plateau is slowly going to end here soon. It's been three weeks since any movement, but I could be on the verge. I'm just happy to see my weight at such a regular spot for once. But still... I feel so deprived sometimes on this diet. My co-workers are all downing Triple Shot Extra Breve Mocha Breves with whipped cream and caramel sauce, and I'm trying to stomach another stinking string cheese.

My boyfriend is sick, and he is still losing weight. He eats south beach diet bars, and even whole wheat bread sometimes. I even notice he eats like 5 times the legal limit of sugar free candy. It's really unfair that he's lost 17 pounds and I've lost... 7 on a good day. But I'm very happy for him, just sad I can't do the same. Why is it that men lose weight so much easier than women?

I'm still feeling the effects of having eaten that sushi last thursday night. I can't stop craving carbs at all. I think about them all day, night and morning. It's a disease.


Sorry that was a huge lot of complaining. I just need something to get me motivated again.

I know my hubby drives me crazy like that too!!! He can eat ANYTHING and still either maintain or lose. There definitely isnt any "fairness" in weight loss! LOL Stay stong, you can do it !!!

Sometimes when I felt deprived like that, I found ways to make a version of what I wanted. I made a "Dalmation" iced coffee drink with coffee and sugar-free chocolate and sugar-free vanilla creamers. I topped it with a little SF Cool Whip and it was as good as the real thing. Do you work out? When I'm at a plateau, I change up something about my work outs and it helps so much.

Everyone loses weight differently, your boyfriend may be losing a lot right now, but chances are he will slow down eventually, whereas you will probably maintain a pretty steady weightloss. (Not to harp on your boyfriend or anything) Ok, so your friends get to have triple high jack mocha frappa latte death cups....do you really want that? that stuff is SOOO bad for you, diet or no diet. When you start craving something, do whatever you have to to get your mind off of it because the longer you think about it, the more likely you are to give in. You should find some type of motivation to keep you going (Aside from the weight loss, because when it's not coming off it's not very motivating) I have an Italian Charm bracelet and for every five pounds, I get to a new charm. . . and sometimes when I want a Sprite instead of a water I'll be about to give in and look down at that charm and I'm like "Man, I really want another charm...I should get the water..." It's just a matter of finding what keeps you motivated enough to choose better things until the cravings go away. Good luck!
