Man I have been crazy productive today. The kids and I cleaned both of their bedrooms and I got the hallways/kids bedrooms vacuumed. Yesterday I cleaned all three bathrooms. It was a deep clean too..not just toilets, counter tops, and sinks.. My house has been a total mess since Christmas break. It was clean before then but the two weeks off with kids and husband and fun things to do and the last week with everyone having the plague again.. well it left no time to clean. I think spending time with the family doing fun stuff was an awesome use of my time and of course the kids would rather I cuddle them while they are sick so the house has been getting worse and worse over 3 WEEKS!! So the way I clean is I pick a room/rooms to do.. one a day and that is all I "have" to do that day. Today was the kids bedrooms so that will also include their laundry.. so I am done working for day save for the 4 loads of laundry to was. :P But I do feel good about it all.

Now on the diet front.. I was not perfect over the weekend.. I made my husband a ham yesterday and I over indulged in the ham. It was very tasty and extra salty. I am going to go for a perfect week this week.. as kind of a challenge to myself. In a effort to make a game out of it.. (I am a goof ball and I like that kind of thing) My perfect week rules are as follows. 1. get at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days this week. 2. If I feel I must eat after 8pm all I can have are fruits, nuts, or veggies. But nothing after 10 pm. (we go to bed really late around here) 3. Make dinner every night this week. (that was my goal last week.. ps I did it :)) 4. Get in my water. 3 quarts a day. 5. Do not exceed 1800 calories per day.

I bet that perfect storm of sickness + holidays did wreck the house! The holidays alone are enough to do it. That's why I'm sort of a grinch -- I don't like the clutter that comes with decorating and giving/receiving gifts. I love how much my hubby and daughter get into it -- bless their hearts -- but I would be one of those people without any decorations if not for them. And I hear ya on the pork overindulging. BBQ pork shoulder is one of my biggest weaknesses. I can throw back 9 oz before I know it! Your perfect week rules are great. You can do it!

Gah my sister sent me huge container of buckeye balls?!? wth.. I am thinking about just throwing them away.. not like 5 or 10 there are like 30 in there.. maybe more ;P

I don't know what a buckeye ball is but sounds calorie packed and not helpful to your goal. Take them to a friend and say "These are for you!" If it's soemthing you love, keep 7 for you and eat one a week as a reward treat.

Put them in the freezer and you will forget about them. That is where mine are.

you're a beast with that cleaning! and I googled buckeye balls and my mouth started watering. They look too tasty. I would have to make someone hide them from me lol.

OK, I heard people over here talking about balls & just had to see what's going on...I see it's some type of food. Oh. ;P

I like your game rules! :) I'll have to try something like that... And kudos too all the cleaning - doesn't it just feel good!? I can always relax SO much better after the house is cleaned. I can just sit down and go, "Ahhhhhh.." :)
