I am sad. I know I've made a lot of progress. I just cannot seem to be able to lose this belly. it's the hardest part of this whole weight loss process is seeing the damage that I've done to my body from being 430 lb. is there anyone out there that has any suggestions on how to lose my belly fat because it's just a bunch of extra skin and fat other than surgery

Same! Loose skin. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I'm not too shabby with clothes on. 😆 i refuse to have surgery so kinda stuck at this point. If you hear of anything miraculous, let me know!

Sorry you've got the doldrums. Midway in losing weight I got down too. I have a few links that might help you understand the biology of belly fat and fat distribution. It definitely made me less frustrated after researching. Hope this helps. Now, I've never had to deal with loose skin before (I just might on this weight loss stint..not sure yet). I am no expert. I do abdominal work five days a week, and have started working my core via planks which also helps with your belly. I do keto with intermittent fasting and have dropped quite a bit; however, this is not an intended lifestyle for me, and very much to get back to running. I will resume a balanced diet with wholefoods, grains, complex carbs, etc. Good luck! And you can't spot reduce- so trying to do a bunch of ab work and hoping to lose the belly fat- not gonna happen. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news (and truth).

I don't mean to minimize the skin issue, I am sorry that you are dealing with that. But you used to be 430lbs and now you are 257lbs and going. I don't want to use the word hero lightly but dude, come on! You are an inspiration to many.

If it helps you any....I have been walking every day and I have progressed to 5 miles everyday. I had a belly that was hanging and flabby. Now my belly is tightening up and looking great. It won't be perfect but I look 100% better. Google benefits of walking. I wish you success in your weight loss experience!

I'm going to watch the videos suggested by Good Gracious as I know I'll have the same problem as I can see it happening on my thighs. My belly fat is taking it's own time in leaving me. Keep in mind how far you've come. You've done amazing work and I wish I'd done it at your age.

Wow thank you for your support it's amazing to see. I wasn't expecting so many responses it's a little overwhelming but it feels really good to know that people are they're too give their positive feedback. I won't let my little skin issue bring me down but I just wish there was an easier way and I know exercise will help and eventually overtime my body will get in better shape. I think I was just having an off day. God bless all of you stay healthy keep up the good fight and we'll all be better for it no matter our flaws.

Only thing delauer help me with was gout and hypertension from Keto LOL but with my new eating routine I beat the gout my hypertension is gone and I have so much more energy it feels really good

I will be the one to say if you lost that amount of weight surgery is your best option. If it’s medically necessary insurance may cover. I understand that for a variety of reasons surgery isn’t an option for many I had my excess skin removed 20 years after losing 120lb rapidly. Best decision ever and money well spent. I’m blessed that I was able to financially, mentally and emotionally go through with my surgery. Great job on the loss!!! Huge achievement!!

sad to say I'm dealing with the same issue I've lost almost 100lb since my second pregnancy and I still don't like how I look naked with clothes super jaw dropping transformation but I'd like not only to feel better but be able to wear certain clothes again and I can't wear them ie. 2 piece bathing suit. don't get me wrong I'm proud of myself and you should be too but I don't like my new body I've never lost this much weight before only 10 to 15lbs and my body toned right up but I was always working out that really made a difference strenght training to Jillian Muchaels videos they are the best look into the biggest loser work outs. I will be giving her workouts a try again see if they work because due to health issues haven't excercise throughout my entire weightloss and it shows😒

Brooklyngurl. Look at my pictures of my foods i eat in my journal. But i eat a 600 to 800 calorie breakfast.And i eat a 500 to 700 calorie lunch and something super light in calories for dinner i eat no more than 1300 to 1600 calories a day

Don’t be sad please!! You’ve lost more than most people dream of. As you continue to lose do some belly targeting oblique & crunches. Might show some difference. Especially if use done hand wats as do. Just suggesting might help tighten some. You’re doing great!!!🍀

Derek4real you follow what your body needs you to do with some inspiration, motivation and knowledge. Not everything works for EVERYONE the same way because we are obviously not the same. Yes, I've followed keto/IF for a couple of months with a huge damn drop and I've worked hard. Please make sure you eat a lot of Ieafy greens (even if you need to make a smoothie/shake, saute with butter/olive oil, or some fat) and eat good amount of fat. I eat a lot of soups with fats and veggies. The first couple of days will suck but walk for a few minutes a day, make progress and keep at it. Also, I take B vitamin complex, vitamin D; and, for muscle soreness, vitamin c. I also soak in Epsom salt for the magnesium, which works better than taking orally. Take a lot of potassium for releasing that water. Hope this helps. Take care of yourself because you will really need to.

Good gracious curvaceous I definitely understand how keto can help people all I know is that I I did keto for about 6 months. And the results were excellent I did lose weight but it came with a lot of side effects like getting gout in my feet which was extremely painful and hypertension but now my diet consists of potatoes fruits vegetables fats like olive oil extra virgin olive oil. I eat leaner meat like chicken fish and I definitely understand people have different chemistry in their body and not every diets going to affect somebody negatively but it definitely affected me negatively. not saying it's not a good diet. It just was not for me and now I've learned that a well-rounded nutritious diet with a variety of foods including bread and all these other wonderful things that we should be eating. I've learned that just making sure my calories stay under 1500 I will lose weight consistently and I'm getting more of what my body needs instead of just proteins and fats

Good gracious curvaceous I also have a 4700 mg potassium diet that I achieve everyday by eating the variety of foods that I eat. The black elderberry Sambuca gives me 530 mg for 2 tablespoons of the concentrate. I get upwards of 800 mg for one potato I get potassium in my eggs 400 mg of potassium from my fat free milk. I get 210 mg of potassium from 2 tablespoons of black cherry unsweetened juice concentrate that I add to my yogurt my yogurt gives me 424 mg of potassium in one serving 70 calories I get 105 from my cranberry unsweetened juice concentrate. I get 180 mg from my blueberry unsweetened 100% juice concentrate. I get 180 mg of potassium from my tart cherry Ultra five times 100% juice concentrate that I add all to my yogurt for breakfast I have turkey bacon for breakfast strawberries blueberries raspberries blackberries oranges bananas like I eat a variety of things to get my 4700 mg of potassium
