Decided to check my weight this morning and am a little upset. I have gained over 2 pounds. It's impossible for it to be fat gain as I have been low on calories, so it's water (or muscle). I have been doing elliptical a couple times a day until my legs are rubber and have been more active overall. I am pushing hard to hit the one hundred mark, but it is resisting. Official weigh in is not till friday so have to getter done.

Geo it will come you are doing great. I've been there and I know your frustrations. Honestly man, you might be pushing too hard! When you say your legs are rubber you are experiencing something called DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness. What this is basically the micro tearing and rebuilding cycle of the muscles. When you don't give your muscles that change to heal and rebuild that's where the weight comes from because the body retains fluid water, lactic acid, and the hormone cortisol in higher levels in men around what the brain thinks is an injury. A day or two rest between workouts while you let this fade will do wonders and soon this rubber leg feeling will go away as well because you now have these new strengthened leg muscles to work with. My ortho keeps reminding me every time I see him that any lower body cardio a plus 300 pound person does is also resistance training so we have to at times treat our bodies like we are weight lifting till they get acclimated to our new workouts! Trust me buddy, take a few days let the water levels drop and you will see a HUGE HUGE difference in the scale.

hit enter on my stupid phone wanted to end this by saying either way, its amazing that you are getting active! Thats a feat in itself man so congrats to you for that!! Could you imagine doing this 100 pounds ago?? NO WAY!! YOU'VE COME SO FAR!!! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!!

Les is right! You are doing amazing!!! Are you taking any breaks between workout days? It's worth a try. Personally I only take 1 rest day a week, but I'm not doing cardio twice a day either. You are so close...you'll get there buddy!

Thanks for the support. I know that it's all great in the longer picture, but dammit, I want that 100. It's sooo close and thats actually harder than when it was further away. Yes, Les, there is no way at all that I could have done this when I started, so that is a major improvement. Also, in less than three weeks, my endurance has more than doubled so everything is improving quickly.

See buddy! You gotta look at the things you can do and think holy hell in a hand basket i'm the man, the number is just that a number and not the true judge of your accomplishments!
