I woke up this morning so thirsty. As I said yesterday, I had slacked off on the H2o. Today I used intentional thinking and I have had 4 24 oz. servings (96 oz) plus whatever was in my coffee and tea. My son has started a weight training effort and is trying to keep his electrolytes balanced with Gatorade. I make it from powder for him. So between my water intake and the 3 quarts of Gatorade I've mixed for him, the water cooler has been tapped aplenty today. My favorite thing I am eating lately is shrimp I cook in a garlic-infused butter and olive oil mix. I put mashed garlic in the oil in a skillet and heat it until the raw smell leaves (a minute or so) then melt the butter in there and pull it off the burner. I let that sit for at least a half hour for the flavors to marry then when I'm ready to cook supper I heat it up to medium high and throw the shrimp in for four or five minutes. I've been fixing frozen artichokes with that dinner, so I mix the chokes and shrimp on my plate and sprinkle all with shredded parmesan. Talk about good. I do not even miss my rice. The parmesan seems to act like rice, kind of adheres to the rest. Ok, enough of my food 'gasm.
