Well after a few days of "little" binges, I finally hit the wall and fell. Steve and I went out to eat at Margarita's with friends (local Mexican restaurant) and I ate and ate and ate. I ate more in the one sitting than I do normally everyday. The hardest part is that I'm not so much upset at how much I ate, but how "unclean" I feel.
The diet that we've been on has been so clean, so low fat, and healthy that eating that, that much oil and fat just devastates me. I need to get a grip on myself this week and not let this drag me down all week. I can and will recover from this. This failure will feed my desire for success. No more sweet "treats". I am not strong enough to handle them in moderation, it leads to a full blown binge. First it was the cake and chocolate tart last friday, then wednesday lunch with Mary Jean (fudge), then Friday depression walk with Steve (large Kilwins peanut butter cup), and finally Sunday Mexican food binge. This week I will eat clean, no cheats, at all!
This remains to be a learning experience and gaining control over my compulsivity and binges. I will recover.
