I'm getting ready to move this Thursday. I have about a 30 hr drive. My mom got me a McDonald's gift card for the kids, which will be nice for them, but I know I need to come up with a plan, so I'm not constantly snacking and eating fast food. I was thinking I can pack my own food and healthy snacks and eat before I get the kids food that way hopefully I won't be so tempted. While they're eating I can let the dogs out that way I'm keeping busy and not sitting there watching them eat. I never thought eating healthy would be so hard for me...eating healthy isn't hard I guess, I do enjoy most food. It's the staying away from the junk that is so hard for me.

It's hard for me to stay away from junk foods too, so I know where you are coming from. :) For healthy snacks I would pack some cut up celery, baby carrots, grapes, a serving of nuts, and beef jerky if you're into it. And while your kids eat their McDonalds lunch, let the dogs out and enjoy an apple or banana. You can do this!

I would also add protein bars and bottled water. Also some gum. It helps me fight off being tired!

Pack some healthy snacks and foods that you really like a lot then you won't feel deprived. Also, if you are getting out and eating in the restaurants, you can choose a McDonald's salad versus some of the more unhealthy choices.
