13.1 miles, what was I thinking? It all started last September when a coworker asked me why I couldn't run a marathon? Well duh, I'm not a runner, that's why. She said that I only had to stick to a routine for a month and then if it wasn't for me, that was fine. I started the Couch to 5K program and couldn't do it because it was too slow for me. I was used to running two miles in the Army and going just one more wasn't that hard. My goal is to complete the Portland Marathon on 10/10/10. I didn't say my goal was to run the marathon because I can't. But it's okay if I walk too, no one stops you and throws you off the course if you walk. At least you are out there!! So now I have 2 5K's, one 10 mile, and one half marathon under my belt with four months until the full marathon. I can do this!!
