I don't know when I have ever done 55 squats before and I tell ya, it sure makes the legs turn to rubber. A couple of months ago I could barely do 25-30 and today I decided to push for more. I made the 50 not too bad, but by 55 my legs were tired. I stood up and its a good thing I was right by my chair because my legs were like jello. They didn't hurt but were unsupportive. Years ago, I belonged to a gym that was in a basement with about 35 steps. The trainers kept warning people that were starting out to watch out for the squats because if you pushed too hard, you were going to be spending the night (there was no elevator). I now know what they were talking about. It feels good to be able to push myself a little harder on the muscles. It has been a long time since I would have been so out of breath that I couldn't do enough to work them out. Now I can get that healthy burn that feels so good. Onward and upward.
