So, I made my goal for these few weeks! Yay!

But yesterday I really didn't stick to my eating plan. I only ate about 900 calories total for the day when my goal RDI is about 1700. I was dizzy, nauseous, and got a headache by the end of the night. I'm not really feeling hungry anymore. I'm going to need to make sure that I'm taking in enough calories but not eating to many.

This losing weight thing is tricky, but I'm encouraged to keep going. One day at a time. :)

1700 calories a day is a lot - I'd aim for 1300-1500 if you're male, 1000-1200 for females.

So, you're RDI depends on a variety of things, including: your current weight, your activity level, and your goals. You can't just jump from eating a high calorie diet (national average in the US is 3,000 calories a day) to eating 1,000 calories a day. Your body can't handle that. It causes way too much stress to the system. The goal should be to gradually decrease your caloric intake as your weight decreases and your body adjusts to the deficit in calories. Every person's needs and goals are different and you should take that into consideration. It would be unhealthy, as the nausea and dizzyness showed, for me to eat as little as 1,000 calories a day. My body is currently used to a much higher calorie intake and therefore produces insulin in an amount equal to digesting that calorie intake. If I eat too little my body is still producing the same amount of insulin and I get what's called hypoglycemic. Which means I don't have enough sugar in my system. 1,700 calories is just fine for me. Even if it isn't right for you or for someone else. I've been eating about that and I've lost 6 pounds in the last 14 days. I think it's working for me.
