It's sooooo cold over here in New York! I've been waiting for my car to warm up for about 5 minutes and figured I had enough time for a short journal entry...

How is everyone else dealing with the cold? I hope everyone is doing well.

Also- any tips for exercising in the home you'd like to share? Sure helps when you can't go outside.

Hey Alexandra! Okay--so I am no expert, by any means..in fact, I am so totally NEW to this. BUT, if you want my advice for exercising at home, I will freely give it! Haha. Okay, do you have stairs in your house? I live in a townhouse and we have stairs..I literally run up and down them a hundred times to get my heart rate up. Then I sit on the floor and do crunches and the ab workout that's like you're riding a bike but you're laying on the ground. (I don't know, I told you I was new! lol.) Just take advantage of the space that you have and just keep moving. Even if you played wii or some kind of game that had you up and moving, it would be beneficial. It sucks to try to workout in the cold..do you have a gym? For me, I know that I won't do all that I can unless I get my big butt to the gym. Half the battle is actually just GETTING there. Stick with your plan and take time to focus on your workout. You've lost 6 pounds already! You know what you're doing, girl! I'm rooting for you!!! :)

Thanks Mandi!! Those are all great ideas- I wish I had stairs! I only have 2 that connect my living room to my den! (Imagine me running up and down 2 steps over and over again.. HAHA) But I love the crunches idea. Totally agree with the gym! 50% is getting ready and driving there! I do go to the gym at my college, 2 days a week (it's open only on specific times and unfortunately that's all I can attend) and I also take a gym class another 2 days a week.. just wanted some more tips for the days I stay home :) BUT You gave me some! Thanks again!
