I am considering writing a new diet plan for myself. It involves only counting calories for specific foods, and allowing myself to eat other foods to satisfaction. It will be kind of like the Weight Watchers Core/Simply Filling Technique, which worked really well for me.
It's just something that I'm considering, just to help get myself further out of this rut.
