EXERCISE: 2.5 miles; .8 with Little Guy and 1.7 with the grown-ups.

My feet, legs, and hips are feeling the effects of not having walked regularly in a while and the effects of carrying my heavier weight. In a way, this is a good thing, as it reminds me of one of the reasons to get back to my goal weight. This weight is just too taxing on my body and joints. When walking, I feel more like I'm plodding or trudging, rather than having a spring in my step.

Food-wise, yesterday was a good day. Instead of reaching for the whipping cream, nuts, etc., I'm reaching for cheese or meat. I'm running a bit higher in calories than I should be, but I'm willing to do that until I can better manage the urge to grab those other things, where I don't exercise portion-control.

On a side note, I was in the grocery store yesterday and saw one of those magazines at the checkout stand. Big headline...Lose 22 pounds in 22 days with the Beyoncé Diet! I had no idea she had a nutrition background..... :) Sign me up (NOT!).

Amen, BuffyBear....wouldn't we all like to have a secret formula. My dad wrote in my diary when I was young, "the elevator to success is not running, you'll have to take the stairs." I now know what he meant....
