From my last weigh in back in March, It looks like I lost about 5.4 pounds; what this doesn't show is that back in May, at my heaviest I was weighing 179.6! So, technically, I've lost almost 16 pounds! I lost 15 pounds in 6 months! This is a great feat for me, as I have had trouble losing any sort of significant weight, in part to my menopause, but mostly to my lack of motivation.
Back in May, I decided that instead of spending 3 days a week doing something that I absolutely LOATHE doing (the gym), that I might try going back to doing activities that I enjoy. I got myself back on a volleyball team (sand or "beach" volleyball) and I've started dancing again. Believe me, it has not been easy. At 52 years, I am playing against and dancing with people half my age. With volleyball, I actually feel like I might pass out a handful of times. But I keep going! I think this has been the secret to my success!
