slowly but surely so slow I feel like giving up sometimes. Only 10lb loss in 2 months but this time I'm not following any specific diet just cut back on sugar, carbs, alcohol more water walking more intermittent fasting and basically measuring everything I eat, eating by serving size no crash diets, no starving, no pills no crazy extreme exercises

Yes Ma'am! It was ONLY when I stopped dieting and began to listen to my body that I stopped decades of slow steady gain and slowly lose. I try to be conscious of what foods make me feel better (as in less unwell or tired) and focus on including them regularly. But no, I don't eat three regular or 5 small a day. I eat only if I'm hungry. We're all different but food is not and should not become our enemy...you've apparently learned this eh. You look a whole lot younger than I am so maybe you'll make it to your own healthy weight faster than I can but hey, we can both/all keep on heading the right direction!

That's a lot faster than I went 😉 Sustainability is key. If you're doing things you can sustain long term, you're more likely to maintain the loss

it's likely hormonal. I started reading a book, UNLOCK YOUR MACRO TYPE by Christine Hronec. She has a YouTube channel called Gauge Girl Training. Tuesday (8/22/23), I started implementing the things I'm learning from her book--I've already lost almost 5 pounds! Understanding is key! Sometimes that alone is the missing link. 10lbs lost in 2 months is an accomplishment, and is certainly better than 10lbs gained! You stay encouraged and keep moving forward. Also check out the book. I literally checked it out from my local library. 😉

yes, I had to learn about macros and nutrients. this app helped me greatly in that area. but, please don't give up. when it kicks in it will be very noticeable to you. girl, my shorts now are so baggy. I refuse to buy a belt. I've been using a bungee cord to keep them up. I get a lot of laughs but I'm proud of my pitiful look!!! I embrace it gladly.

You can do this 🩷 When I first started I went 2 full months without losing anything and then Bam! It started coming off steadily. This site helped me a lot back then. I'm in your corner!!🩷🩷👍

That's the best way! I felt like that too that it's soooo sloooowww! But I think it's for the best because it's a life style change you can sustain.

The longer you can continue with good practices the more you build good habits the longer you continue with good habits the more it becomes part of your character once you have that character that is the real win and then you notice you are where you want to be physically but the mind and discipline is the real goal. Give yourself a goal that you will continually be pursuing health don’t worry about the short term results. Keep going I hear your frustration but the reward is well worth it

I only average about 3 pounds a month now, but I have no forbidden foods, I never go hungry, and, after maintaining for 2 years during the isolation of COVID, I know I'll never gain it back.
