So, we're in transition now. In the past week I haven't really exercised enough (other than packing and cleaning house and chasing after little kids) and have not really been following the diet closely. So, I expected to gain weight, but seem to have lost a pound! Surprisingly good news--I can't really explain it.

Although I plan to start up the diet full force again once we get settled (mid August) I'm still trying to eat healthfully. I still enjoy big salads for lunch and low carb dinners, but am allowing myself some of the fun treats I wouldn't otherwise. It feels nice to take a break, I must say. Am trying to stay moderate about my diet cheats, though. :)

Moving is the hardest thing to do. So much work. And then when you factor in two kids....well....just that much harder. You deserve a treat here and there!! I have moved about 6 times just since I have been married...only 6 years ago. So I feel ya!!

Your body will stick partially with the diet I have been off for a while and it wasn't til recently that I began gaining again. Congrats on the pound and good luck with the move

I find that house work, while maybe not as intense as other forms of exercise, is often better for me because afterwards things are neat and clean. Walking back and forth, picking up things, cleaning, organizing can burn up a surprising number of calories if done over time. Sometimes I start pacing around for no reason and afterwards, when I look at my pedometer, I am suprised to see how many steps I have accumulated. Keep up the good work Herbie.

I agree with information...housework and chasing kids burns up a surprising amt of calories. You are on your way!! 6 more lbs!!!
