I think it's wonderful :) 

If you're a sap so am I .. I get lonely when Mush decides to hang out in the living room while I'm out in the shop. Alone. Bored. Can't hear her snoring. I feel ignored. I will not be ignored. 

Who says being a sap for a pup is a bad thing? Enjoy her. J 

Reminds me of my Dog Ellie. Shes 9 months old as of 2 days ago. Shes the result of what I like to call "a natural disaster" Her father is a 50/50 mix of Rottweiler and English mastiff...her mom is a pure bred beagle. Dad was 115 lbs at the time of conception, mom was 13 lbs. Ellie has 6 brothers and sisters from the same litter. Poor mom. 

Haha, do you have a baby monitor on when she is out of the room? JK. I know what you mean. There's just something about a dog that brings out the kinder gentler side of us. Besides that, they are always happy to see us - unlike some other species I know. 

Sounds like she's attached to you too. Dogs know who loves and takes care of them, so that means your doing a great job with her.

Oy. The poor beagle. I'm reading puppy books, watching youtube videos and trying to get this all sorted out. I've had three dogs. I have to do this every time. So much you forget over the course of 10 years or so. I usually tell people that you're really not qualified to raise kids until you've raised kids. Along with that comes hubris... the belief that you know better than the people raising them now. I'm afraid if I were to start raising kids again (not happening) I'd have to read books about child rearing too... which are usually pop psychology.  

Since Daisy adopted me I never miss a day of walking since she would rather walk than play in the yard. The last few days she only got little walks because of the weather so she was really excited today. Sun is finally shining, and I got sick halfway through our normal walk. I'll take her out a bit this afternoon if I feel better. She's keeping me motivated. 

She is of an age that she is a little sponge, and I think to make the best pet, that you start fostering a strong bond with her, and imprint what you want out of her NOW, and start training, and she will grow into a model dog. :) And if that means, being a "sap" and having her glued to your side all the time, so be it. She will learn everything from you, and the best way to do that is to be with you as much as possible. 

Dogs have a way of getting us moving. I have two and if I put shoes they're both at my feet ready to go. As for being a sap, there is nothing wrong with that! I was hooked the second I puck up both of my dogs and I wouldn't trade them for the world! 

Notjune. We're going to try umbilical today. :) Just a few minutes to start. She's so great and she's only just 8 weeks. She's so cute. It's hard not to think of her as a toy. I have to prepare the dog that she will be now. If I don't, she'll have a mind of her own instead of being an obedient dog. That doesn't mean I'm not doing to enjoy petting her fuzzy little body and scratching under her chin.
