Hi Journal. Today has been ok. I went out to lunch but I stayed within the plan. Went to a Chinese restaurant had Teriyaki chicken NO Sauce, 3 strips of chicken grilled on sticks with steamed vegies and a diet pepsi. I trying to cut out diet soda (starts craving with me and I can live without it) but lunch special came with it or spring roll (WHICH I LOVE) so I figured the diet soda was better at this time than a spring roll. I'm just not sure if there were hidden spices used in the chicken that might tend to cause me to retain water. But on the all,I feel good about my decision. I have been wanting something sweet lately so the Atkins peanut candy snacks were on sale (like peanut m&ms) I bought a box of them a few days ago and the packs are already gone, so I don't think I should buy them for awhile (can't control myself on them right now). I'll try to stick with the sugar free jello.
Planning on meeting another friend in a couple weeks for lunch on the weekend. That one is going to be tough. She wanted to met at an Italian Restaurant at first. I did see online a salad with grilled chicken that would be ok, but when I mentioned that I'm eating lowcarb she suggested another place, actually not that much better at low carb choises but I see they also have a salad with grilled chicken and at least I won't have the home made Italian bread, wine & cheese tempting me. I am of Italian ancestry and it is so difficult for me to resist that cooking! Then the end of Sept my biggest tempting friend is coming to town for 2 weeks and that is going to be the biggest challenge. I know I shouldn't obsess about what is coming up, I'm tring not to. Mostly I'm trying to get myself aware and prepared. It will be OK :-) Take it one day at a time. One meal at a time!

Be very careful with the Atkins stuff, a lot of people say that they make them stall. You're doing so well!
