Today marks the first day of the last week of summer for my kids, it’s been an incredibly busy summer with all the camping/exploring we’ve done. Last week we stayed near the Northshore and the kids were able to explore all there was in a 1 hour radius from where we were staying. They seen for the first time ships coming in under the lift bridge, play on rocks at a state park because most of the waterfalls aren’t there due to the severe drought; and climb up into a lighthouse and learn all about the inner workings of it.

This summer hasn’t been my best to stay on track for my goals, with eating ice cream in some form most days with the kids, and simply putting a lot of things ahead of what I would like to do for my body. I’m glad I did what I did this summer and make memories with my kids; but I know come next Tuesday a new chapter for me will also start. It will be the first time ever all my kids will be in school all day every day and I will have a little more time to prioritize my goals.
