Last day of a 7 day fast. I have family arriving from out of town for dinner, so I will break my fast with them tonight. I've lost 10.2 lbs in this time. I know that much of that will bounce back when I start eating normally, but I'm hoping to hang on to a substantial loss. I'm just going to eat sensibly and exercise every day on my vacation, then see where I'm at in a week. I feel like I've given my body a chance to reset and fight off my summer cold, and I've reminded myself that it feels good to take a break from food. The science says that I have cleaned up on a cellular level, generated lots of human growth hormone and stem cells. I do feel very alert and ready to face the world again. But first I have to get the house ready for company, and pack for a week away.
