One more quick note I will start to track on my journal. My starting bmi at 282+ lb was 38.2. As of today its 32.9. If I recall correctly, the average bmi for a male is 20 (elite athletes is 8). I think that will be important for me to track as well as part of staying safe in my process.

19-25 is about normal for men as far as I recall. 8 seems to be far from healthy weight for anybody.

Thanks for that:) When I was in my 20s I was 6ft tall, 185 and doing tae kwon do for 3 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. I have a large frame and lots of lean muscle. I looked up the bmi for that weight height and it says I would have been about a 25 so yeah, 8 is hard to imagine!

Don't stress on the BMI, go by how you look. Muscle throws the BMI right off the rails.
