well christmas is over and i not only fell off the wagon i got run over by it LOL. Oh well a new year and a new start on this journey, I am looking forward to the new me this summer. This holiday season taught me that the fantasy is always better than the reality when it comes to food. Nothing I ate this season was as good as i thought it was going to be, and after consuming even a little bit of these "forbidden" treat i felt ill and not as good as I have felt in past months while living the new lifestyle and way of eating. All i could think of was exercising the house of all the "treats" and restocking with fresh veggies.

Well as it goes, hindsight is 20/20 but without these reality checks its easy to lose ones way. All the cravings and mental desires for these "forbidden" treats have been indulged and now i see them as unneeded and undesired and no longer forbidden and tempting.

All I can say is that I am glad that this detour through the wasteland of holiday treats and foods has left me not much heavier on the scale, but it has left me wiser about my new way of life.

Here is to a new year and a new me :D - hope everyone the best of luck in their journeys this year and beyond.
