Having a friend hit the gym with me has definitely been a positive experience! I've now had the push I needed to start going to some classes they offer and plan to continue. Also, because a store near me is closing, I could afford an adjustable dumbell set and a food scale. So that will mean more upper body workouts in tandem with the book Miguel bought me and less guessing about the proportions of food I'm consuming.
Also, it's really cold so I'm wondering how many calories I burn shivering ;-)
