Until recently I’ve been struggling a lot with depression, mainly caused by my eating disorder. However, in an effort to recover myself, I went from eating about 500 Cals a day (with occasional binge-purging episodes) to trying the Banting diet again. The reason for the switch to Banting was because i feel it’s not such a big step for me to take while on track for recovery. I still limit my Cals to about 900 a day with usually less than 25grams of carbs a day, but I am feeling so depressed and paranoid because I think I’m putting on weight.
Whenever I weigh myself it ranges from 67 to 69 kgs , which is probably just normal water retention, but it’s putting me so deep into a pit that I can’t function. I’m scared to leave the house, I can’t sleep bcz of the constant anxiety and fear it causes me even in my sleep.
I’ve only been Banting for about a week now but I’m terrified I’m putting on weight. I don’t know what to do. I’ve never talked to anyone about this but it’s getting to me
