slow and steady. weight has been on a downward slope - so it been positive. I am trying to remember the lessons i have learned throughout this journey. I am trying not to let set back deter me from proceeding on to my goal. I must remember that this is a lifestyle not destination. Some days will be up some will be down. There is not a road to take for instant results.

I look back and see how much time i wasted on excuses and procrastinating while taking this journey. I may have reached my goal long ago if i had kept up the effort. However, with that being said i may have not learned the lessons that i have learned now. Its on think to know but its another thing to truly believe. I knew the science, the rationales, the purposes and the methods. I did not truly believe that i had to follow them, i felt special and i felt that i could get away with things and when i did get results i would find blame in the the science or the way of life. However not i know that this is 100% me. It has to do with me and my choices. and without the long side quests on this journey i may not have had this self realization. There is no quick road to take for recovery, years and even decades of pushing the body will take time to health and to adapt to a healthy body.

I sometimes get obsessed with daily levels of ketones, or weight or blood sugars. It is good to take these measurements from time to time, but these should not be the ultimate indicators of success or progress. I am reminded from time to time that this obsession is usually what leads me to derailment. I need to take time away from the scale and the monitors and trust my body to do its thing. As long as i am inputting the proper nutrients and following the new way of eating, then the rest should take care of itself. Spot checks are always good but as long as you do not become obsessed with these numbers.

I also have to remember that there is not finish line - my goal weight is not a finish line but rather a star to guide my journey.
