Today was my first day of intermittent fasting. 20 hours fasting and 4 hours window for food intake. Let's see how this goes.

I have been overweight and on a diet most of my life. My thoughts were never about finding a balance or changing my way of life. They were about food restriction. Things got out of hand after having my last 2 children 20 years ago. I avoided the scale, looking at my self in the mirror and taking pictures. I
still don't like any of those things but I weigh myself once a week. The physical and emotional damage that I have put myself through is unbearable. Then why do I do this? How do I stop for good?

I do not eat to nourish my body. I eat when I'm happy, sad, stressed, angry. I eat even when not hungry. Food is my drug.
