I've been doing pretty well recently, but the pressures of finances and getting a second job finally exploded last night and I had a good cry for about an hour. I've been good to myself lately, though, haven't been eating crap and trying to stay away from carbs. It's hard though, easiest and cheapest lunch for me is a chicken wrap with laughing cow cheese, it's easy on my tummy and a lot easier to deal with than some other things--plus it keeps me fuller longer.
Still not sure if I want to go to dance class tonight, I'm so emotionally and physically tired from stress.

Tried to weigh myself last night and the scale is a brand-new digital one, which is great and all that, but unless it's on perfectly level flooring (of which there is none in my new apartment), it records a bunch of different weights!!! If anyone knows of a good brand of scale that doesn't suck and is under $50, I would love to hear it...

Last night I tried cooking quinoa for the first time ever and...success!! Not as hard or time-consuming as I would have thought. I mixed it with sweet corn, mushrooms and teriyaki sauce, turned out well. In fact, having the leftovers for lunch today. :)
Unfortunately, yesterday's lunch of vinegar-soaked veggies didn't agree with me. I had the worst sotmach pain ever and was sick for hours...I think it might be the meds I'm on that have made me unable to tolerate vinegar or other really acidic things. Wish I had known that would be the case before I ate it. :/
This morning did okay, had a egg and sausage for breakfast and a piece of toast. Could have cut back on what I was eating, will work with that tomorrow.

Today for breakfast I had a wake up wrap from DD, and an egg for a snack later in the day. For lunch, I'm eating the delicious chopped salad of raw veggies (red and green peppers, scallions, celery and cucumber) doused with red wine vinegar and a couple tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. It's sooooo good, I love vinegar on things. And I actually like it more than any creamy salad dressing (shocking, since I love caesar and blue cheese). Tonight for dinner I'm making myself a lovely 1/4-lb salmon filet and trying to cook quinoa for the first time. We'll see how it goes, it's a gluten-free night tonight and I'm excited to see how well I do. :)

The weekend wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be, mostly because I went to a Halloween party and had a couple drinks and didn't eat healthy...I had 3 mojitos and 4 cookies. But damn, those mojitos were good! Just have to keep myself in check this week.
This week, I am going to an extra dance class, something I've wanted to try for a year...tribal fusion bellydance! Can't wait. I'm really nervous because I'm always the "thickest" woman in this sort of class, but I want to try it so badly that I'm setting aside my anxieties and going for it! :)
