Weigh in today - Lost 12.6 lbs in 30 days. Since my injury I haven't been to the gym for the last 2 weeks either. Knew I lost but wow :)

Day 29, Yesterday after I wrote my journal, I pulled the muscles in my arm again. So back to taking it easy. Between Advil and food hoping to get the pain to go away again. Weighing in after my 30 days will be based on diet alone. That being said going down a size helps boost your confidence.

Today is
Day 28
on the
Whole30 Challenge
. Feeling good.
Last week I injured my arm and was unable to go to the gym. Emergency doctor prescript me an anti-inflammatory and said I would be in pain to at least 2 weeks. Decided to just use Advil and food. Lots of kale, beets, berries.
Also I got a natural suppliant that helps with inflammation. Called Limitness (made from beets). I take it for knee joint pain but it helps with all inflammation. Get it on line only

So wasn't a good time to run out with a injury. Anyways with in a few days was virtually pain free.
Regarding weight loss - weigh in is coming up on Wednesday. But clothes are bigger. Have to dry clothes I used to hang up to shrink them. Yesterday in just 27 days I was wearing a size smaller in jeans. I started the Whole30 Challenge wearing size 12 and yesterday fit into a size 10.
Another surprising thing, it happened without me trying. I gave up caffeine. Was never a coffee drinking but tea. Had a few cups a day. Now none.
People ask me if I will continue with the Whole30 Challenge after the 30 days? I think I will, for the most part. No Calorie Counting as long as you eat in the guide lines. In the next 30 days I my allow myself a treat or two. My daughters birthday is coming up might try a slice of cake ;)
Rule with treating yourself you follow the plan the next day.

- breaking habits (find myself still looking at chocolate bars while in line at the store and wanting one)
Other thing is to plan ahead. Have planned what your eating in the day, don't make decisions last minute. When I am hungry I make bad decisions, mostly quick ones and they are never healthy.

Day 13 on the Whole30 diet. Feeling good, think I lost some weight. Clothes are looser. Can't weigh in until 30 days are up. No calorie counting apparently is needed. Just eat whole foods. No Sugar or Preservatives. Surprised how many condiments have sugar. Also no reactive foods dairy, beans & legumes. There are some items you can have but are limited (lists are on www.whole30.com). Eating a lot of vegetables and lean protein.

Day Two on the Whole30 diet (Paleo). Hardest part is no snacking (love my snacking - that is why I am the size I am). No sugar, means no chocolate after lunch - even dark chocolate has some sugar - hard to find without) I did roast some cocoa beans the other night for my chocolate fix, have to watch when I eat due to the caffeine. Feeling good
