CURIOUS GEORGE SAVES THE DAY!
lol. I was up till midnight last night and so I got up late. I spent all my morning time in prayer and did not work out. I am having playgroup at my house this morning and since there is nothing much to eat I decided to make chocolate chip cookies. In my quest to give up sugar I knew this was not a good choice. Well, there I was popping cookie dough into my mouth when I heard the man with the yellow hat say to George, "George, be a good little monkey." (my daughter is watching the show) I laughed out loud!!! And then stopped! No more cookie dough or cookies for me this morning. This will take some serious prayer to resist, but I know I can do it and will feel so much better for it. I also need to really set my mind on working out some time later today. Maybe when the hubby gets home from work. Hope you all have a blessed day. I am going to enjoy the fellowship of my friends this morning instead of eating food my body does not need!

I am trying to watch my sodium intake for the first time ever. I was blown away by how ONE PICKLE put me way over the top along with a few conveniance items yesterday. What a learning process this is. I also gave in to emotional eating yesterday and had a Fiber One muffin before bed! AAGH! Today will be better...

Yah! That is a big deal for me considering I was at 124.6, but hadn't gotten around to recording it. LOL! 2.2 pounds! I am trying so hard to eat healthy! NO sugar for a day so far, and no diet coke for nine. Maybe this really will work!!!!

Day 8 of no diet coke. I am amazed by how much I don't miss it. Today I have decided to give up sugar. I am still going to eat SF fudgscicles and SF hard candy though. I have to have
something
. I figure if I journal my efforts to give things up it will keep me more accountable!!

Life is so much better when I am eating clean. I feel better, my clothes fit better and I have more energy! I am on day 3 of no diet coke!!! I have been told that I need to give up carbonation and artificial sweetners if I want to shed these last few (very stubborn) pounds. I figured it was worth a shot since my exercise and healthy eating does not seem to be doing it. Green tea is my new friend as I am not willing to give up caffeine. I get up at 5am to pray and then work out and I need something to get me through the day. LOL! I have also added strength training 3 days a week and try to get in cardio on those days also. Hopefully this will all pay off and my TOM will not ruin my efforts as it does most months. Here's to a gorgeous, sunny day in MN. Praise the LORD! Blessings...
